• Purpose:
  • Recognize students who have morals and excellent achievements in learning and extracurricular activities at school.
  • Provide students with a good opportunity to study, exchange international culture during the summer.
  • Encourage the mentality of constantly learning and participating in extracurricular activities.
• Scholarship value for primary students IPS:
  • 06 scholarships for overseas summer course in Singapore for one week, issued by The Asian International School.
  • Scholarship value: 1,990 USD/ suất.
• Time and requirements:
  • Round 1: from March 12, 2018 to March 30, 2018
    • Students submit the Application Form for homeroom teachers from March 12, 2018 to March 19, 2018.
    • All registered students will participate in the writing contest on March 29 and March 30, 2018 at their own campus. Exam Duration: 60 minutes.
    • The scholarship committee selects the best candidates for Round 1.
    • Evaluation and selection criteria of round 1: 7 - 15 students with the highest scores (mark on a scale of 10 and rounded to 0.25). Note: Candidates must have morals and good academic results.
    • Students who pass Round 1 will take part in the second round in their own campus.
  • Round 2: April 18 and April 19, 2018
    • Venue: Primary Campuses of the Asian International School.
    • Time: 8:00 AM, April 18 and 19, 2018.
    • Students participating in the Round 2 will deliver their presentation on the given topic. All the topics are announced to the candidates on April 17, 2018.
    • Presentation time: maximum 4 minutes.

    Grading criteria:

    • Organization: 2 points
    • Topic Knowledge: 2 points
    • Audience Adaptation: 2 points
    • Language Use (Verbal Effectiveness): 2 points
    • Delivery (Nonverbal Effectiveness): 2 points

    
    

  • Champions of each campus including Cong Hoa (2 champions), Cao Thang, Thai Van Lung, Tran Nhat Duat and Van Thanh will be awarded scholarships for overseas summer course 2018.
  • The champions of the contest will be announced at each campus meeting on May 7, 2018 and will be awarded scholarships in the closing ceremony of the school year.

  Note: When the list of the champions is approved, the representative of the School Board must invite the parents to school sign the Regulations for granting scholarship for the overseas summer course of the year 2018.

• Regulations for Scholarship:
  • Scholarships are available when students continue their studies in the school year 2018 – 2019 at the Asian International School. If the student withdraws from the Asian International School at any time during the school year 2018 - 2019, their parents will be required to pay the full amount of the scholarship.
  • The above scholarship only covers the cost of living, study, travel and insurance according to World Link's fees. The scholarship does not include fees for translation of documents, visa applications and passport, out-of-program visits, personal fees and other fees.
  • Scholarships are not transferable in any form and cannot change into cash.
  • Scholarships are not applied to students who have received scholarship from the previous talent seeking contest.
  • World Link is responsible for organizing the summer programs of the Summer Scholarship Program 2018. Champions will follow the rules of the World Link Summer School Program.
