Ay 2024-2025 edu games

I. Objectives:

- To help students gain more knowledge about scientific phenomena in daily life.

- To help students develop their logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and computational abilities.

- To create a meaningful playground for students and contribute to develop the extracurricular activities for students.

II. Time – Venue – Participants

- From February 10 to February 28, 2025.

- Venue: IPS campuses of the Asian International School.

- Participants: All IPS students of the Asian International School.

III. Activities

1. Toys/ Models Assembling Area

- Students registering for the toys/ models assembling are allowed to bring toys and models from home to school. Each toy or model is labeled with the student’s name and class. After completing their assembly, students present their toys or models.

- Types of toys:

• Assembled models

• Technology-based toys (robots, flying objects, moving vehicles, etc.)

- Students can register individually or in groups of 2–5 members.

2. Science Experiment Area

- Students participate in hands-on science experiments organized and guided by Science foreign teachers and teaching assistants. These experiments help students explore scientific phenomena in a tangible and engaging way.

3. Chess Games Area

- Students play chess games, including chess, Chinese chess, tic-tac-toe, etc., developing their logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and computational abilities. Students bring their own chessboards and game pieces.

IV. How to register:

- From February 10 to February 14, 2025, students register their preferred area(s) of participation with their class teachers. Each student is required to select at least one area for the event.

- Event date at campuses: from February 24 to February 28, 2025.

Notes:

• Students are responsible for the safekeeping of their own toys brought to school for the event.

• The school is not responsible for any damage or loss to students' toys/ models/ chessboards during the event.
