Hallowee, an annual event, has been one of the most anticipated festivals at The Asian International School in the last few days of October, 2015.
Halloween this year was held with plenty of varied and hilarious activities, such as the costume contest, Halloween painting, pumpkin carving, mask painting, apple eating contest, mummy wrapping contest, lemon passing contest, especially horror movie experience and creepy haunted house exploration. These activities were planned, designed and decorated by students in the spirit of Halloween: bizarre, mysterious and completely spooky.
Pumpkin carving
One of the symbols of Halloween is the pumpkins carved into a variety of imaginary faces. Therefore, a large number of students participated in the Halloween pumpkin carving contest.
These pumpkins were carved into faces with various shapes and colors reflecting the ingenuity and creativity of AHS students.
Face painting with henna and mask making
Students also had an opportunity to demonstrate their capability of creative and rich imagination by taking part in face painting with henna and mask making activities.
The festival was filled with multiple horror shapes of the henna colors and original masks.
Apple eating and lemon passing contests
There are numerous games in Halloween festival using apples, such as bobbing for apples, eating apples or peeling apples. It is believed that the longer people make the peel, the longer they live ... At the AHS Halloween festival, the apple eating contest was one of the games that brought the most joyful and animated atmosphere to the Asian International School community. In the contest, apples were tied to ropes hanging overhead; students demonstrated their ability of agility and dexterity by eating apples while being blindfolded in the shortest time.
Similarly, lemon passing contest also brought the exciting atmosphere to the festival. In this contest, students could enhance team spirit and unity when participating in this game.
Halloween Mummy Wrapping Contest
By simply wrapping around a person with rolls of paper to create a mummy, contestants really made the Halloween mummy wrapping contest interesting, challenging and meaningful. Lots of students from different grades in the Asian International School participated in this contest and applauded contestants with enthusiasm.
Horror Movies
Horror movies always attract great attention from students on Halloween. The Cinema at the Asian International School was well prepared with mysterious, dark and ghostly scenery, ideally for expressing the spirit of Halloween.

The Haunted House
The Haunted House was open from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm for students to visit. This always generates the curiosity of students from AHS on Halloween at the Asian International School. Each year, classes voluntarily sign up for the decorations of the Haunted House with enthusiasm. Annually, the macabre, ghoulish things give students a lot of interesting, scary and mysterious feelings.

Halloween costume contest
In comparison with the House of the Dead, students also looked forward to seeing the Halloween costume contest. This was the moment students could freely dress up with strange and mysterious costumes to turn into any kinds of creatures they wanted. On Halloween 2015, students spent their time and efforts preparing for the contests, so it was more joyful and exciting than expected. The program not only gave students excitement and great experience, but also contributed to the educational values. Students could have a chance to experience Western Cultures through the Halloween 2015.
