Professional training for AHS class teachers for the school year 2013 - 2014
On July 30th 2013, The Asian International School conducted a workshop for over 200 AHS class teachers. The workshop aimed at disseminating professional work ethics for all class teachers, providing a place where teachers can share and learn from last school year's experience, acquire effective methods from the managing board and experienced teachers to improve the quality of education in the new school year 2013 – 2014.
Overview of the workshop
At the beginning of the workshop, Ms. Pham Nguyen Phuong Hong Nhung from Cong Hoa Campus talked about routine of a class teacher to help new teachers to have an overview of what a class teacher is expected to do. In addition, Ms. Nhung also talked about common mistakes that class teachers usually made, helping them learn from and avoid these mistakes in the new school year.

There was also a practical speech of Ms. Can Thi Thuy Hanh – a senior class teacher which received support by the majority of teachers. Ms. Thuy Hanh said that in order to fulfill responsibilities of a class teacher, you need to have scientific methods of organizing a class, divide students into groups, so they could help each other in learning. In addition to regularly interact with students, class teachers also needed to keep in touch with parents to inform them about their children's learning.

The workshop continued with the speeches of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy and Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Minh Hoai of Tran Nhat Duat Campus and Cao Thang Campus respectively who also brought valuable experience in ensuring the safety for students as well as sanctions for students who violate the rules.

In the speech of Ms. Le Thi Thanh Thuy – supervisor manager at Cao Thang Campus, she said that many new teachers should actively learn from and interact with the managers in order to get accurate information. She mentioned that the managers were willing to answer and discuss all the questions of class teachers in order to give best solutions for each specific circumstance.

Ms. Van Thi Thien Ha – Vietnamese executive manager concluded the three key tasks a class teacher should perform well which were academic education, moral education and student health care. To complete these three tasks, in addition to professional knowledge, educational methods, class teachers need to be enthusiastic in working. On behalf of the school managing board, Ms. Ha thanked and praised useful contribution of class teachers during the workshop and wished that they could all fulfill the tasks of the 2013-2014 school year well.

The workshop concluded with many missions and challenges for a new school year have opened. All the class teachers and staff of The Asian International School will strive to bring the best values to elite generations of the school.
