There was a training course of teaching skills with the expert from Oxford University Press for IPS teachers at Cao Thang Campus on 17th October.
The training program was divided into two sessions that are suitable for both teaching assistants and foreign teachers at the Asian International School within one day.
Ms Sadie Jane Maddocks, an expert from Oxford University also the Ex-Director of Oxford University Press in South East Asia, has given lots of beneficial knowledge and experiences to English teachers at the Asian International School through many training courses for consecutive years.
The training program in 2015-2016 has focused on effective teaching methodology that can be applied to develop the students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. It has emphasized on student centered methods that can encourage students to be active, self-confident to express their ideas, curiosity and to take part in discussions in a dynamic educational environment with lots of funny and interesting activities, situations and games related to the content of the lesson.
Attending training courses with outside prestigious foreign experts at the beginning of the school year is an annual activity which provides helpful professional knowledge in order to help teachers at the Asian International School enhance and develop their teaching skills for the purposes of bringing students effective and interesting English lessons.
