Santa Claus’ Journey To IPS
Noel – known as Christmas Day - is annually celebrated on December 24 or 25 all over the world. Despite the chilly weather of the winter, Christmas atmosphere is still jubilant and bustling with the sights of Santa Claus, Christmas trees, cakes and plenty of gifts… After returning from church, all people gather and enjoy a peaceful and happy Christmas together. Children eagerly await Santa Claus' apperance in order to receive a lot of nice gifts.
Every Christmas at The Asian International School, students eagerly anticipate Santa Claus visiting their own classes and giving them gifts of love in happy atmosphere.
Santa Claus again visited IPS and took along a lot of chocolates and Christmas cakes which were extremely delicious. Besides this Santa Claus, there were several little ones and many cute princesses who assisted and supported him during the happy journey of having fun with everybody.
No matter where this Santa and his assistants went, the traditional carols were played. Santa was very active with his guitar and violin while other assistants danced together and sang.
When students heard "Jingle Bells" and "Santa Claus is coming to town" exploding out of the classroom door, all students clapped and cheered "Santa Claus is coming!" Everyone was pleased and yearned to receive gifts, have their pictures taken with him. They whispered their own wishes for Christmas Day and the New Year.
All of them were extremely cheerful since Santa Claus gave chocolates to each one and even a very large Christmas cake to the whole class. A small party took place in the class. It was a fun-filled Christmas atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed the cake and took photos to remember this special Noel at IPS.
Although the Christmas festival was short, it did bring a great deal of happiness to all students. The Asian International School always creates plenty of fun in every event. It strives to help students integrate into the global culture, have fun in community, and build up the spirit of solidarity. We love making long-lasting memories at IPS.
Some students' opinions about Christmas festival:
"My class was given many gifts by Santa on Christmas Day. I really liked chocolates gotten from the Santa, but I did not eat them. I gave those chocolates to my mom. My classmates had many commemorative pictures taken with him, and laughed jocundly. I liked this Noel festival much!"

"On 23 December morning, it was quite cold. I wished my friends and I had a happy Christmas on the way to school. On that day, everybody wore beautiful Noel clothes and held little jingle bells in their hands. The whiteboard on the wall was decorated with multicolored chalks with the words: "Merry Christmas". Many packages of pies and little candy boxes were displayed everywhere. In addition, everybody's eyes were alight with pleasure and happiness because we had a warm Christmas with our friends and teachers. It was a wonderful Christmas day."

"This year, a female Santa Claus came and gave us candies. In the early morning, we were impatient to meet her. Everybody sang "We wish you a merry Christmas' to welcome her, but that moment was too short. I want her to stay with us longer, and I wish everyday will be Noel, too!"

"Christmas is over but I think about it. When Santa Claus distributed gifts, I felt very happy; moreover, the little nice candies made me remember this festival forever and feel happier. When being taken photos, my classmates were happy and laughed a lot, it was so cheerful that I could not express. However, it was the most joyful when we danced; some friends holding their hands together and dancing with Santa. I wish that every year will be as joyful as this year."

"I knew that Santa Claus would give a lot of nice gifts to good students at Christmas. I was glad to know that he would come and give my class gifts, but if I am not obedient enough next years, he will not give me any gift. Therefore, I will try to learn well and be obedient in order to receive the gifts from Santa."

"Like every year, on the past 24 December, this school celebrated a cheerful and warm Christmas festival. That is one of my favorite festivals because the affection between my classmates and I will be stronger. Simultaneously, I also felt that it was so much cozier and happier on Christmas Day. We not only received Santa Claus' chocolates but had commemorative photos taken with him, joined in class activities, and had fun together. Although the weather was quite cold that day, this did not prevent us from going to school to take part in the festival enthusiastically and passionately. The memories of that Christmas will always be in my mind. I wish that next year our school will continue to celebrate festivals the same as this year."
