IPS bustles with the Summer Toy Festival 2013
To welcome a summer full of fun, the Asian International School holds the Toy Festival for IPS students. This is an interesting and useful festival for IPS students every summer. It is also an opportunity for them to exchange ideas and prove their ability when competing with each other in active and creative games. Through the festival, they are trained to observe, judge and unite with each other.
On the morning of 09/8/2013, at IPS Thanglong Campus, the final round took place in an exciting and jubilant atmosphere. Students from all campuses were ready for the competition. The stage is designed beautifully and divided into different areas. Sections of competition at the festival include assembling models (groups and individuals), running objects (car toys racing), yoyo and flying objects (airplane toys).

At 8:00 o'clock, the competitions take place at separated areas. An area for assembling models competition, including an area for group and an area for individual is on the sides of the stage. Candidates compete enthusiastically to create beautiful products and finish the competition as fast as they can.

At the center of the stage, a board of examiners evaluate and mark the candidates' performances. However, before the board of examiners evaluate and mark, the candidates have to make a presentation about their products in English. The Toy Festival gradually becomes useful in the playground where the students can exchange, become self confident, improve their creative ability, and learn from each other.

At the Summer Toy Festival 2013, there are many beautiful assembling models, showing the candidates' special creation. Especially, at this festival, young candidates make a strong impression when assembling complex models. This shows us their great ability of thinking, creating and learning.

Car toy racing is the most exciting competition. Car toys with different size and color are encouraged enthusiastically by the students. Yoyo competitions and airplane controlling competitions are also exciting. To sum up, all performances are very impressive.

The Summer Toy Festival ended in a great success and pleasure. Excellent candidates receive awards from the board of examiners. Through out the festival, the school would like all students to develop their strength in learning as well as in extracurricular activities. There will be many more events and extracurricular activities for IPS students. Hopefully, all students are comfortable and enjoy when participating in the school's events.
