Asian School Summer Camp (ASSC) was designed and organized for all campuses of The Asian International Primary School with the topic is oriented to origin, its activities are meaningful for children in Summer.

Today, in a busy modern life, knowledge and skills are obviously not enough and children need to be trained with moral values so that they can develop themselves in all aspects and be ready to face with new challenges in life. ASSC was built based on the criteria that help students get all above mentioned characteristics.

ASSC was designed based on the idea of visualizing three cultural regions of Vietnam: Northern, Central, and Southern. Students will costume as people of each region by wearing traditional clothes and participate into teamwork games, etc. Those activities will not only help them relax and develop their thinking skills but also are a change for them learn more about traditional culture and enhance their love to their country.

Moreover, during the time joining in the Summer Camp, students will develop their own talents and personalities through exciting and artistic competitions such as: flower arrangement, designing and showing costumes, etc.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Vy Ha – Art Program Manager, Head of Executive Committee of ASSC of Summer Camp: “All activities are aiming at enhancing and developing the notable characteristics of students. Although academy is important, in IPS, the education of moral and life skills are also highly and seriously considerate. These core values are mixed together in formal programs and outdoor activities, so students can accumulate the skills for integrated and development progress”.

In IPS, the education of moral and life skills are carried out through experienced activities in both Vietnamese and English, such as: monthly training of politeness, traditional festivals, outdoor training of life skills, charity, natural discovery, etc.

The conservation of traditional values in global integrated scenario is not easy. IPS is one of the few schools can solve this cleverly and can satisfy parents’ expectation about the balance between advanced knowledge and traditional values.
