The bustling and throbbing drum beats of Lion dance fill the air during the Mid – Autumn Festival. At IPS, the atmosphere of “Full moon season” has become not only lively and joyful but also sweet and cozy on the reunion day.
On 9th September 2022, teachers told their students about some fascinating stories with fairy characters and students were excited to learn the tradition of Lantern parade and how to decorate traditional trays on the Mid-Autumn.
Enjoyable moment with Lion dance
The ambience in the schoolyard became more animated since students saw harmonious combination of members of the Lion dance team with a humorous gesture followed the drum beat and fluctuating rhythm. Ong Dia, who had a gentle smile on his belly and an energetic interaction with students, made the most precious and memorable moment for students in this full moon season.

With unique and creative ideas and skillful hands, each student created for themselves a lantern from variety of materials such as: bamboo frame, can, plastic bottle, colored paper, hardcover ... Students freely decorated, painted and made the unique and stunning outlines.

At the end, students were immersed in the decoration of "Mid-Autumn party worshipping platform" and gathered and joined the Mid-Autumn party. A traditional Vietnamese Mid-autumn party worshipping platform includes: five kinds of fruits, sweets, lanterns... Teachers and students professionally arranged and decorated the platforms into funny ones that kept the beauty of traditional platform throughout generations.

Although the pace of modern life is different from the past, the tradition of "Lantern parade" is always a unique beauty that the Asian School cares and organizes for students. The beautiful lanterns followed others with bustling sing and laughter. All created a sparkling and colorful scene which brings students' dreams into the sky.
