I. OBJECTIVES

- To raise awareness among students about the significance and the struggle for survival of endangered species, as well as to develop students to take responsibility for global issues.

- Provide activities that support excellence in global education for Vietnamese and international students grounded in the concept of unity through diversity.

- Upon understanding the meaning of the World Rhino Day, students will learn beyond their borders, in order to instill internationalism in education and desire for lifelong acquisition of global knowledge and world peace.

- Stimulate values of good global citizenship through sustainable living concepts, social awareness, community service and leadership training.

- Stimulate intellectual attributes and encourage self-discipline, critical thinking, respect for others’ opinion and creative approaches to problems.

II. TIME, VENUE, PARTICIPANTS

- Time: From September 4 to 27, 2024

- Venue: All IPS campuses of the Asian International School

- Participants: IPS students of the Asian International School

III. CONTENT

- From September 4 to 10, 2024, Science teachers of Flyers classes provide students with knowledge about how some animal characteristics are affected by the environment.

- From September 23 to 27, 2024, students participate in activities as follows:

• Flyers students attend a workshop about endangered species.

• Students of all grade levels can wear animal costumes and register to participate in various activities.

IV. PREPARATIONS

Class teachers

- Disseminate the event details to students and ensure that each student registers for at least one activity in the Animal Instincts and Survival Strategies Project.

- Inform parents about the project activities so that they can support their children’s costumes for the event.

- Before September 22, 2024, class teachers will introduce students to World Rhino Day (September 22, 2024) and expand on the topic of endangered species.

- Submit the list of students registering for the activities to International Program Managers before September 16, 2024.

- All departments must closely collaborate in the implementation and execution of this plan.

- Create a cheerful and casual atmosphere, encourage creativity and promote student engagement.
